Whenever I get a text message from Koodo, my device alerts me that the number is not in my contacts and asks if I want to delete and report as junk. To date, it has been relatively easy to see if the message is legit but spammers are getting more and more skilful. Without having a known number for Koodo, what is the best work around to quickly determine if message received is legit from Koodo?

Honestly I would treat all SMS messages with skepticism, especially if they want you to open a link or give any personal info, regardless if the number is recognizable or not. All Numbers can be easily spoofed (faked).
Yes, that's pretty much the way I handle it.
