My internet is dropping daily or more, it’s quite frustrating. Has anyone found a permanent solution to this aside from restarting the modem or wifi router? Even when I do this it can take a few minutes to an hour to come back on.

It’s to the point where I will certainly cancel my subscription. The frequency is unacceptable.

Does resetting the router always fix the issue?  Or do you think it is a modem issue?


It usually does, but sometimes it can take a while. It also just stops at random times with no activity on the network. I have a nest WiFi connected to it and the Internet will drop at 4 AM. 

 

I've never had this happen this often with any other Internet provider.

My suggestion is to schedule a callback to get a tech support ticket opened. It could be something wrong with the hardware. If you’re still getting the issue with new hardware, then you can decide options of further troubleshooting.


From other posts in the community I have seen, the Router is the common point of failure with Koodo internet.

See if you can get the router exchanged
