I transferred my number to Koodo yesterday, but I am still unable to receive text messages or phone calls. My friend attempted to call me but was directed to voice mail and is unable to leave a voice mail there. No text can be received while imessage can not activated. But, I can dial out.

WiFi calling cannot be activated either.

I restarted my phone several times, but it did not work. In this situation, I am even unable to receive a call back.

So just a quick check, when you transferred your number to koodo did you respond to the port authorization text from your previous provider within 90 mins? And did you follow the other steps outlined in the link below?

Yes, I replied “yes” within 90 minutes. I also can log in to Self Serve. The only working part right now is dial-out and 4G data.


Huh weird, in that case as you have access to self serve, can you check your port status and check to see if it says "completed" or if its says something else.


How long has it been? It’s a process where parts of service are enabvled over time. Until the process completes, the last thing you get is the ability to receive calls.
