Hi there,

I want to speak to a rep. Requested call back in Koodo assist, but nobody called back. I need a clarification for my monthly bill. I'm being charged for a cancelled plan and the waived connection fee.

Can you provide a screenshot of your bill? Make sure to remove any person details, as this is a public forum.


The first screenshot is my plan. The next 2 screenshots are for the cancelled plan. The plan was cancelled before 15 days of purchase, but still I'm being charged for it. What is the $50 number change charge. I haven't changed any numbers.


You were only charged for the days that you had service on the $49 plan.

If you look at the bottom of the second screenshot, the phone number change fee and connection fee were credited back to you.


Thanks noticed it. But why I'm being charged for the cancelled plan? Could you also explain why the connection fee was not waived for my plan?


According to the first screenshot, your connection fee is being credited, presumably over a period of 7 months. Since you cancelled it right away, you do not get it back.


So you mean I will have to pay the connection fee for the cancelled plan? Will my bill be revised? I don't want to be charged for the cancelled plan. I have returned the device already and changed to a different provider.

Sorry I don't get it. This is too overwhelming. Why would I be charged for the device and the plan that I haven't used at all? Please connect me to a rep. This is very frustrating.


Can you please explain why do I have to pay for the cancelled plan? When I have returned everything?


The threshold is extremely low. Any minimal usage would be considered as going over the limit. 

Additionally, if your usage exceeds any one of the following limits, you can still return or exchange your device, but you’ll be responsible for your bill:

  • 30 minutes of talk time (local and/or long distance)
  • 50 text messages (incoming and outgoing)
  • 50 MB data

Why am I being charged for the device. Best Buy rep was on a call with a Koodo rep and told me I won't be charged for cancellations.


Will it refunded with next bill or something. There should be some way to get my money back when I have returned the product.

For the device that was returned, in case you don’t see a refund on the next bill, please let us know and we will adjust it.

For the connection fee, the remaining  monthly credit has been canceled once the line was canceled.

If it has been cancelled why am I seeing it on my bill? I have shared the screenshot.

The bill was already issued when the line was canceled.

This bill doesn’t reflect the changes made after the bill date.

Any applicable adjustments will appear on the next bill.
