Hey everyone,

I recently got a Pixel 9 with a tab on. I decided to pay off the whole tab balance ($287.xx) shown in my account.

Today I called customer service to confirm what my next bill would be, and they said it would be the $287 tab amount (which I already paid) + $49 plan + taxes. I asked them multiple times to confirm if this meant I don't have to pay the tab bonus discount amount, and they said that was correct.

I'm a bit confused because i am worried it's that paying off the tab early meant I still needed to pay the remaining bonus discount amount. Can anyone confirm if what the customer service rep told me is true? I'm a little hesitant to take their word for it as I've had some issues with customer service in the past.

Thanks in advance for any help.

You only have to pay the tab bonus if you leave Koodo, or upgrade to a new phone on the tab before the 24 month period is up.

If you just paid off your tab to reduce your monthly bill amount, then you’re good. If you paid off your tab first, then bought a new phone second, then yes, you’d be responsible for the remaining tab bonus of the old phone.

Hello Allan,

Thank you for confirming! I appreciate the clarification.
