I have CAN-US plan on my line and I do travel to USA often.

I have been charged for Roaming at a daily rate last month (Dec 2024) and was waived off when conatcted and confirmed that it will not be charged in future for the same.

But they chared me again for this month (Jan 2025) also for the days I travelled to USA.

I have scheduled a call back (Which is tomorrow 10:00 AM EST). And I am sure it will be waived off.

But is there a way to make sure it is not charged in first place instead of me contacting Koodo everytime when a bill gets generated ?

Turned out to be two different plans

One is allowing only Calls to USA from Canada as part of the plan.

Other is allowing to use data and call services in both USA and Canada as part of the plan.

Rep at walmart offered me the first plan claiming it as second plan (Even after asking for multiple times)

After first month bill, Koodo Rep (over call) also confirmed i had the previlages of second plan and waived off the roaming charges.

After second month bill, Rep over community chat explained the plan details and offered Roaming and Non Roaming plans to choose from.

 

Good thing is - The roaming charges were waived off when contacted for both months.

Worst thing is - It took two months for the customer to know what plan he has. LOL
