Hi everyone.

I’m reaching out for help here as I have had luck speaking with anyone from Koodo over the phone.

I am looking to replace both my internet and my cellphone plan, which are currently with Bell.

I looked into internet first, and liked the Koodo plan (directed from start.ca), so I signed up for the Unlimited Internet 500 plan. I am waiting for the equipment to arrive and my activation date is Tuesday.

I then looked into a cellphone plan, and discovered that Koodo is also a good option, and I’m looking for the Tab Plus plan, along with getting a new Samsung S24. However, I then saw that the internet is offered with $21 per month discount if you are already a koodo mobile customer.

I am trying to figure out if I will still be eligible for the $21 per month internet discount, if I signed up for internet first. I have spent more than an hour discussing this with two different koodo employees over the phone, neither of whom were able to understand my question. I spoke with start.ca who said they would escalate it and have a manager from Koodo contact me, but nobody ever did.

So overall, I’m currently waiting to activate my Koodo internet. I would like to know if I will be eligible for the $21 advertised bundle discount to the internet as well, if I have signed up for internet first and mobility second.

The Koodo discount applies automatically only when ordering Internet as existing Koodo Mobility postpaid customer, as the services must be linked.

You would have to cancel your Koodo Internet, complete the activation for the Mobility account and once active, you can then log in via self serve and add Koodo Internet to get the bundle discount https://www.koodomobile.com/en/shop/subscriptions/internet?srsltid=AfmBOooDE31iw7QYLpMJqMMxpkE7njqXnDZze9h6RDNYfaysTk7F95CF

We recommend scheduling a call back first and speaking with the support team regarding the bundle discount.

I’m a little hesitant to call, as I have had no success talking to anyone from Koodo so far. I have called twice, and on both occasions they have not been able to understand why I am calling and we have endlessly gone in circles.

Would your suggestion mean returning the internet equipment that is currently in transit on the way here, only to order it again at a later date?  And are there penalties for cancelling so early on?

This all seems excessively complicated, and it was not clear to me when I was trying to sign up online that the discount only applies if you sign up for mobility first, and not the other way around.

Is there someone at Koodo I can speak to who is able to organise the bundle deal for me, without having to mess around with cancelling and re-ordering internet?

Koodo is primarily a cellular carrier. Internet service has been only introduced recently. Rep in the forum here, as of now,  doesn’t have the tool to resolve many issue with it. If you would like a customized deal, you would have to schedule a call back and talk to rep over the phone. Go here www.koodo.com/chat

There is no direct number for you to call though.
