In "my add-on", it says "International Voice Roaming $0". So I supposed international long distance calls didn't cost extra, but the bill showed a shocking $241.2 for Long Distance - US/International Voice Usage. What's going on?

Those add-ons are just provisions added to allow things like long distance calls or roaming.

Your details of your plan are in your plan description.

It is written right here in "my current plan", and it clearly says International Voice Roaming $0. How should I understand what you wrote? If it is just to say "to allow things like long distance calls or roaming", why do you write $0? Is that for misleading?

That is the cost of the add-on to allow you to use the service.  There are additional changers for the use.

The $0 Pay-Per-Use Int’l Long Distance  literally says “Pay Per Use” in the title.

Roaming is when you use your service outside of canada on a foreign network. And with ROaming you are only charged when you use it.

and your “Pay-Per-Use Int’l Long Distance  $0 ” literally says “ $0” at  the price  place

Regardless of what the title says, the charge says “0” as showed on “your current plan” page.

I refuse to accept this bill and your explanation and I request that you clear the charge of $241.2.

You are talking to other clients here - this is a community forum (see top of page). The only person hurt if you don't pay your bill will be you and your credit rating.

As Dennis said the $0 is zero cost to have this add on - it is part of your monthly payment to Koodo.

For example: if the add-on was $5 then it would show $5 (instead of zero) and your monthly payment to Koodo would be $5 more than you are paying. Most add-ons are free, but some have a cost.

It is not saying that the service if you use it is $0.

Ok I give up.

YOU are MISUNDERSTANDING how to read your summary. Dennis tried to help you. I tried to help you. We are customers taking time out of our day to answer your question.

So your response is to name call like a 5 year old - I doubt anyone will want to help you now.

Good luck with the bad credit rating.

Don't drag others into this. I only quoted your reply when I replied. You should know that the official staff is watching the comments and topics. For example, in my first topic, I posted the error in the Koodo bill. The official replied to me and corrected it the next day, and closed the topic. Even I can't see that topic now. So you are too kind,****

You would’ve gotten text messages (and maybe an email too) when you left Canada stating that you didn’t have easy roam on your account and what the charges would be because of that.

Something along these lines:

Yes. Actually I meant international calling. I wrote that wrong.😅

Gotcha, in that case the pay per use rates would apply as mentioned above.

If you’d like to schedule a callback to customer service, sometimes they will help you out with a big charge, as I can sort of understand your confusion.

In saying that, I would suggest being nicer to them than you have been to other people here. If you show the same level of rudeness, you won’t get any help.

Best of luck.

thank u. I have scheduled a callback. additionally, I was intentionally rude to him (not them), Because he made a judgment without even knowing what I was arguing about

Hi @Ziming Pang

We have removed/edited some of your posts above, as they were including attacks/ insults to other community members.

Please note that such behavior is not tolerated here on community, kindly refer to our Koodo community guidelines here.

Regarding your inquiry, as Dennis mentioned, the Pay per use Long Distance add on allows you to place calls at pay-per-user rates. If the add on is not provisioned, you are unable to place calls to Intl numbers.

The $0 basically refers to the cost of the Pay Per use Intl Long Distance add on, not the cost of the call rates.

You will find the applicable rates on our website → https://www.koodomobile.com/en/payperuse

There is also referrence to this on the service agreement.

On the service agreement that you received, you will find the following statement:

How can I use pay-per-use services?

Koodo offers services that aren't included in your Agreement that any user on the account can use on a pay-per-use basis. Current rates at the time of purchase will apply. For more information on pay-per-use services and for current rates see koodo.com/payperuse.”
