Hi there—I received an incorrect roaming charge on August 24 while in Lake Erie, Ontario.

I posted to this message board previously about this and was told to post again once I’d received the bill. I have now received the bill and there is an incorrect roaming charge of $14 applied to the bill.

Please remove this charge as I did not leave Canada.

Thank you!

To avoid this from happening again, make sure to manually select your network to Koodo, so that your phone does not automatically connect a nearby U.S. cellular tower.

Hi @AmandaL

We have reviewed the details and we have been able to remove the roaming charge since it was triggered due to accidental data roaming, feel free to check the details in your self serve account when you get the chance.

We recommend switching data roaming off and also switch to manual network and select Koodo in the phone settings, this would prevent the connection to a US tower when near the border.
