I have just returned form the US and was using pay-as-you-go roaming for data and texts. However, my billing date was 3 days after arriving there and it has caused additional $10 charges to be applied on both my lines when I was nowhere near the limits for incurring additional $10 charges. Please reverse these charges. The rates quoted by Koodo do not state anywhere that you have to pay double if your billing date happens to fall during your trip, so this should not be happening.

Were you using pay per use roaming (charge per 100 text and per 50MB) or Easy Roam (flat rate per day of $10 or $14 depending on your plan)?

As I stated in my post, I was using pay as you use, not Easy Roam.

Ok I think I understand your question.  Your bucket of 100 texts and 50 MB were not exhausted when you entered your new billing cycle.

Unfortunately all plans and add-ons that have a cap/limit, or buckets of services to use is always until the end of your billing cycle (unless otherwise stated to last for X-days)

Hi there @SRG

@Dennis  shared a picture with both the Pay-per-use and the Easy Roam details.  Pay per use charges are per bill cycle. You can also see it mentioned in the above picture in the “Outgoing SMS” section.

If you want to further investigate the situation, feel free to schedule a call-back through our Koodo Assist  or send us a private message on Social Media through the links on the bottom right of this page.

I received a message from Koodo when I entered the US outlining the pay-per-use rates. It did not state that I would be charged extra if my billing date passed. Moreover, it makes no sense for one person to pay double when their billing rate happens to fall during their trip while  a second person whose billing rate doesn’t fall during a trip has a lesser charge. That is not ‘pay-by-use’. Again, please reverse the charges.

If you want to challenge the charge, please request a callback via Koodo assist
