From the point of view of my bank, automatic top-ups of a prepaid account are not charged correctly (as “direct debit”). This prevents me from getting points on my credit card for these top-ups. Fixing this soon would be charming.

I’m puzzled what you are saying. Did you enter a VISA debit card as your automatic top up method instead of your regular credit card? If so, you will need to register the correct card in self serve. Koodo has no say in how your receive your bank points.
No, it’s a regular credit card, but a prepaid Koodo account. In Koodo prepaid self-serve, automatic top-ups can be enabled, but these don’t seem to be “automatic” to my bank, which only gives me credit card points for recurring payments.
This has been brought up previously and I know there have been discussions on Reddit as well. I don’t think this is a priority with Koodo and is unlikely to change anytime soon.
I suggest you use this information to adjust your payment method accordingly.
