I just received the monthly bill and saw the charges for international calling from Canada to India even though I have 1250 mins of international calling on my plan activated. It was activated and valid from 6th November 2024 onwards. 

I have attached the screenshot of the email received. Not sure why I was charged $144 CAD in the current bill.

 

Can you provide a screenshot of your bill? Make sure to remove any personal details, as this is a public forum.


Did you make any calls to India before Nov 6?

 

If you download your pdf ebill it should break down the charges there. Feel free to share if something looks off, just leave out any personal info.


I only made calls to India on 9th November.

We have looked into it and the charges were incurred due to exceeding the prorated amount of minutes allocated from the activation until the bill date.

I am not sure why this happened? While getting the plan I was given assurity that the calls are unlimited to 27 countries and upon getting the sim activated, I got to know its a totally different scenario. I don’t think that’s how it works. I was given a different plan firstly and then this thing happened even though I didn’t want the plan and a better plan was made for me to get the sale done. I think this is not the experience I deserve as I was very satisfied with the services provided by my previous service provider and I think I am liable to pay these charges as a different thing was conveyed and wasn’t told about this. I request you to please waive this off as i had 0 data and the data stopped within 3 days of plan activated. 


Unfortunately not unlimited, such as data or international minutes like the 1250 minute add-on you have, get pro-rated during a partial bill cycle or rate plan change. You’re mentioning the unlimited calls perk add-on to 27 countries. Was this activated on 9 Nov as well?
