I checked a similar question but it wasn’t same as my case.

two months ago, I got below statement. I missed to pay one month payment as you can see below.

Balance forward from your last bill ............................................ $16.80
This reflects payments of $0.00
New charges
  Mobile services $20.00
  Other charges and credits $0.50
  GST / HST $1.00
  PST $1.40
Total new charges ................................................................... $22.90
Total due.................................................................$39.70

Since then, I’ve been being charged $20/month while I was away. I put my phone onto a seasonal hold ($15/month) so I am not sure why I was charged this.

Could you help me on this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Your seasonal hold rate-plan might have been increased from $15 to $20.  I recommend you check your past  PDF bills (the month before the increase). Check the last page of that bill, the notification is there.

Hi Dihh,

Indeed, it said as follows:

Update to your monthly rate plan
Starting on your next bill, your monthly rate plan fee will increase by $5. If you recently changed or upgraded your plan, please disregard this message.

Then, could you let me know why it’s been increased by $5?

Thanks,

John

What kind of “why” response are you looking for @John K. ?

When you phone plan or netflix or cable bill or home internet increases there is never a why.  Or if there is, it is a generic statement.

Of course, but I’m talking about seasonal hold, not other plans. Has a Seasonal Hold been increased from $15 to $20?

Yeah Im not a fan of that, but if they not give notice on your pdf ebill on the last page the month before the price increase which makes it legal.
