using eSIM only on pixel 6

I am on a bring-your-own-device post-paid plan and I have recently purchased a Google pixel 6 to replace my old Samsung. The Pixel 6 comes with only one SIM card tray: I want to switch my phone number to eSIM to keep the one tray available for local SIM cards when I travel. To my dismay, the dude at my local Telus-Koodo store tells me this is not possible: that there needs to be a physical SIM card in the phone and that eSIM is only for additional lines (???) This is contrary to what the Koodo FAQ page says... What game are they playing?

How can I access my text messages out of network range?

I am a prepaid customer frequently operating outside of the cellular network (travel to the remote north or outside of the country). Many apps and programs require 2-factor authentication. Is there any way to access my text messages while I'm outside of the cell network (eg via the internet)?

Easy Roaming in the same country with different time zones in one day

I am currently using easy roam in Mexico City (CST) and later today I will be taking a flight to another state in Mexico that will have a different time zone (PST). Will I be charged twice today because they are different time zones? Or will I still be able to use the easy roaming with only one charge today until 11:59pm CST (because I started today’s roaming in the CST time zone) although I will be ending my day in a PST time zone still within the country of Mexico?

HelloI got this msg twice and I input my credit card info. after that, I’ve thought it would be a scam. I didnt doubt it at first since it sent to mynumber@msg.koodomobile.com.but yesterday, cash advance was used with my card. :(anyone has this experience?

Someone is using my email from old account

Hello everybody, I have been an expat in Canada (Québec) until May 2022 and I’ve had a Koodo account until December 2021. I canceled my account shortly after.Now, for some strange reason I started receiving e-mails at the same address I used to register on Koodo in the name of a fellow named Richard Lafontaine, who would have recently registered on Koodo. I keep getting newsletters, information about the service, the last email I received was an invoice for $152. Since I don't have any Canadian cards that I registered in the old account, it is virtually impossible for them to steal money from me. However, I wonder what is going on. Is an attempt at identity theft taking place? How is it possible that I am receiving emails to an address I deleted 10 months ago?I need help as soon as possible, thank you

Question regarding very late phone bill paid but service still not restored

I was quite late to paying my koodo bill due to finical  issues at the time  just recently I have paid my bill in full but my service has not been restored yet (its been a day  now) Koodo has mention my account has been canceled if that affects it. I'm not sure if my plan with koodo is complete cancelled so I can find a new phone provider or not, its honestly quite  hard to come in contact with a human rep to address my issue. I came here hoping for a easy solution thank you.

Does my account pin stop someone from porting out my number?

I've been hacked on one of my social media accounts. The individual is trying hard to get my phone number from friends. Assuming they can do some damage with my number like porting it out or something.  I have an account pin for my koodo account, does that provide any protection from getting my number stolen?

How do I unblock Private numbers?

Hello, I am needing to reverse the block i have on private numbers but not sure how!?   Can Someone please help me. Koodo is currently not booking reps to call people as i have tried yesterday and today. Also the store near me wont answer and its also out of town.

Unblocking a notification email

Hello,As part of my work, I received text message from temperature monitoring server(Cryopak). As per Cryopak IT help desk I am not receiving these message because koodo is blocking these text how do I unblock the notification email: support@cryopak.com" and put it in whitelist?Thank you Dharam

Koodo Data usage bug

I was Driving with doordash yesterday and they had a bug that they since resolved although the bug drained my Data and used over 10GB in less than 5 hours.    When i went to talk to Koodo Support after this i was unable to get an appointment or a response from anyone. I also contacted the doordash support but they were also far from helpful and were basically like "that sounds like a you problem" and told me to contact my phone company...

Magically have a 4 gig usage while I was at work. Got my 50% and the my 90% warning within a couple hours of each other. And way after the 4 gigs. Never reached over a gig a day. Never downloaded or streamed anything. Just my doordash app which never takes much.

Trouble porting out of koodoo w/wireless home phone

Hi,I’m writing this on behalf of my elderly mother.  She tried to transfer her number out, but the  transfer is pending authorization. Supposedly she supposed to reply to a text.  But she has the wireless home phone service which is not capable of text.  I trried to put the sim in a cell phone to retrieve the text, but the sim has a pin-lock on it, and koodo did this not myself or my mom.   I don’t know the pin. And my mother is not tech-savvy she would have never known this.   I tried calling customer service, it only allows for a  scheduled callback but that is days away.  I find this totally ridiculous.  She doesn’t want to lose her number that she has had since the 1980’s..  Can this be solved and hopefully in a timely manner.

CPO iPhone XS Max Screen Issues?

I just received this phone in the mail today. Immediately after powering it on, I noticed something was up with the screen. There’s a blue mark on the top right corner of the display that looks like a bruise. Blacks look blue and there’s a faint purple hue when I drag items on the screen. In addition to that, the bottom bezel of the display is remarkably thicker than the other three bezels. What is going on here? Was the screen replaced by an LCD? When I hold this phone next to an iPhone XR with both displays set to 100% brightness, the XR’s supposedly inferior screen looks significantly better. The colours on the XR are more accurate, and the blacks are even darker!Nowhere on the order page indicates the possibility of this occurring. In fact, it says “OLED”. Have I been duped? I understand that the phone was previously used… but I feel like a fool because I read thoroughly through everything before proceeding to the order page. I was led to believe that the phone was returned in work

In Europe with Easy Roam, can't make calls

I'm in Europe using Easy Roam.  SMS/Data works fine, can't make calls.  International long distance add-on is on the account. Yes, I'm dialling +. I.m on a compatible network (T-mobile NL). Have tried manually selecting the network.I've rebooted the phone many times since arriving.I've reset network settings.VoLTE is ON.I received the welcome text when I arrived.I've gone through the various Koodo troubleshooters, and read many of the community forum posts.I've done a voodoo dance.Can a mod please flag this to Koodo support to help me out? Thanks!

Upgrade Plan while Tab is Fully Paid

Hello, I have 2 phone plans under my account and the TABS for both phones are fully paid. Since I am paying $40 3GB UL min Plan SFD for each phone, I wanted to upgrade my phone plan (2 phones) that Koodo is currently offering.  I don’t have any intention at the moment to get a brand new phone for this upgrade as the phones are currently working as it should be.Can I ask Koodo to guide me as to how can I do a plan upgrade. Thanks

Credit Restriction to Open Business Accounts
