A PUK code is a special code that can help if you get locked out of your phone's SIM card. Typically, this only happens if you forget your SIM PIN or enter it incorrectly 3 times. If you did not change it yourself, the default SIM PIN is normally 1234.

If the default code doesn’t work, that's when you’ll need the PUK code. PUK stands for "
Personal Unlocking Key" and can be used to unlock your SIM and reset your PIN number.

It's really important to use the correct PUK code when you try to unlock your SIM card. If the incorrect PUK is entered 10 consecutive times, the SIM will become unusable and a new SIM will have to be purchased.

It's also important to remember that a PUK code is different from a device unlock code. A device unlock code is a code that lets you use your phone with a different carrier. A PUK code is only for unlocking your SIM card.

The quickest way to get your PUK code is to schedule a callback through Koodo Assist

Note: In order to receive the call, it’s best to schedule your callback to a different phone number.
