Bring more.windows phones

Windows phones are hard to come by. Koodo should get the Nokia lumia 625, 1020, 1520, etc.

I agree, I had hoped that Koodo would get the 620 as it is listed on the Nokia update site, but it seems less likely as time goes on. While the 520 is one of the best devices for the price some mid to high end devices would be great.

Telus removed the 620 and added the 625 under 'smart phones lite'. I purchased one. Naturally have to unlock it.

With these things, it comes down to consumer demand, and it's just not there for multiple Windows phones.

Yes there is, people aren't aware of windows phone. Telus hides it well, bell stopped selling them, and rogers hides them too. When I use to sell windows phone people would only buy it after I told them, all people know about are the iPhone and Samsung devices that are heavily advertised. People loved the 610.

Companies want to make money, and the big 3 (and associated brands like Koodo) know how to make money. If they aren't selling certain phones, it's because the demand isn't there for it. Is part of that marketing and visibility? Of course, but that's not up to the carriers. Building that desire to own a Windows phone has to come from Windows and Nokia themselves. If enough people start demanding it, of course they will carry them. There is certainly asymmetric and incomplete information in the market regarding phones. You're right that most people just don't really know enough about the options out there, but again, that's not up to the carriers. People have to want them before carriers will carry them.

I respectfully disagree. I've personally seen reps from all 6 big company's (technically 3 but each sub brand usually has specific reps), go out of there way to push iPhone or s3/s4 over windows phones due to higher profit margins. I also see bell constantly advertising the Z10/LG G2. Telus/Rogers usually advertise iphone. I've had several people thank me for showing them koodo vs another carrier and that windows phone was cheap vs the expensive iphone.

Agreed. There are way too many Samsung devices, seven to be exact and it would be nice to see a little more variety in the way of a few more Windows Phone devices.

I agree koodo should get a higher end WP device but I wouldnt say any more than 1 since WP only has 3 or 4 % market share, they have to be careful or could easily end up with a warhouse of WP that arnt selling.

Window devices aren't very popular so I don't think Koodo will pick one up. Maybe they may pick one but I think it's unlikely. You can always buy one outright somewhere else, unlock it and bring it Koodo. You get 10% off on your plan for bringing your own device.
