Porting Telus Number - 6 hours in

Ported my number over from Telus, replied yes to the text, inserted the Koodo sim, and on self serve, it says the port is complete. Now 6 hours later, I am still stuck on SOS only. Plus, I have no ability to schedule a call back, now that my only phone is only good for SOS’s.

Can you try to reset network settings of the phone to see if that can help? As well, did you receive the cancellation email from Telus yet? Can you put the Telus sim back to see if that SIM was still active?

 

Solved! The sim card I had received from my local Koodo store was not activated on their end. Was able to get the callback to a friends phone, and then have them hold me up to the speaker on Facebook chat.

Good to hear. It must be issue with internal porting of Telus/Koodo
