Certified Pre-Owned iPhone 13 was bought in September 2024 with a 1-year warranty backed by Koodo. Wifi and Bluetooth stopped working. I took the device to London Drugs, and their Geek Squad said there is a panic message, which points out to a problem on the board. Website says I should take to a Telus store: “Note: At this time, Mobile Klinik does not support in-warranty repairs on CPO devices purchased through TELUS, Koodo, or Public Mobile. If your in-warranty CPO device requires repair service, please visit a TELUS or Koodo location. Check back with this page periodically to see if there are any changes to your repair service options.” (https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/warranty-and-repair-policy). I did brought the phone to a Koodo Store and Telus store and both said: “This instruction is wrong. We have no way to file a claim for PCO under Koodo Warranty). I called Koodo, and the rep said that I should by a Device Care on the top of the 1-year Koodo warranty, which I did. Asurion wants me to pay $250 to have a replacement, which contradicts Koodo’s warranty terms: “Every Certified Pre-Owned device purchased after November 10, 2020 includes a Certified Pre-owned warranty valid for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase**. We’ll cover the costs to repair any manufacturer’s defects for this period.” (https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/certified-pre-owned-phones). I tried to escalate the issue to management team, but the link sends me to Telus website, and I can’t get anywhere from there to Koodo devices and services. I want my problem solved, which means you take the device and fix it under the 1-year Koodo warranty, as it is supposed to be.

That is conflicting info for sure.  Let me flag a rep for you

Hi @rmjustino

We are sorry for the misunderstanding!

We have double checked on our end and the repair process for CPO iPhone devices would be through a Koodo or TELUS store when the phone is within the 1 year warranty and it doesn’t have physical damage.

If you are able to visit a Koodo or TELUS location nearby, please ask the rep to call their support for assistance with the process.

We have also noted your account, so the support team should be able to further assist.

As well, make sure you’re visiting a corporate Koodo/Telus store. Not a Koodo/Telus retailer, or reseller.

I see your location on the community is Chilliwack. I’d suggest the following in the Cottonwood Centre if you can:

45585 Luckakuck Way, Unit 28A

Chilliwack, BC, V2R 1A1
