Any solutions for OnePlus 12 running android 14 , tried everything and no luck . Yet my Google Pixel 8 pro is fine with MMS , but its grayed out under APN so cant change only add another APN.

OP12 just wont work with changes recommended , tried few different APN settings and nothing , everything else works fine.  This issue is also on my Nothing phone 1 .

The issue could be from the device compatibility with Koodo MMS server. I think one customer tried to switch to 3G Koodo networkand MMS worked. You could test that possibility and see it works for you.

I did try that also , tried almost everything online i could find , the OP12 is north america version for US and Canada , Nothing phone worked before now same issue with it . Also when sim is in OP it shows as telus , in  my google as koodo so thats odd but yes both are same company.

North American version was the term from the manufacturer though. None of the OP phones are supported by Koodo. Both Koodo VoLTE and VoWIFI features weren’t available on The OP12. The nothing phone situation is similar to OP12. If 3G didn’t work, the issue might not be from the phone itself, but compatibility with Koodo MMS server.

Really odd that koodo would do this ,I was with fido before with not one issue . So basically if I want to make this to work I need a different provider .   Also why would they grey out the APN on my goggle and also Nothing phone , only one that lets you change it is OP the other can only add new APN.

Guess I’ll be returning the OP12 since its with in 15 days return time ,Nothing will go on marketplace.

At least Google Pixel 8 Pro works ...for now

Tried that , it's Koodo that has messed up the APN basically blocking phones that they don't sell or find to be part of full network use .  I'm going to return the phone for now but for future reference at least I know that I need to switch providers cos a company shouldn't have the right to block outside phone on bring your own device plan .

Also greying out the APN is not cool , one should have the right to edit , last time I checked we lived in a free country not North Korea.

Let's just say not happy with this outcome at all , going to be moving my 3 lines to a provider that has zero problems with APN and the use of other branded phones.

Thanks the help.

Did you try removing your SIM card first, restarting your phone, and then inserting it back in?

Tied it , I'm out of options just refuses to activate MMS , MMS works fine in my Google pixel 8 pro. So now the OnePlus and my Nothing phone 1 can't use Koodo.

Yes I like to switch phone's around and try new once and apparently can't with Koodo.

I would try the advice from this post.  It seems most of been able to get MMS working again with one of the various strategies

Have tried that also , like I said Koodo has purposely made some kind of change why who knows , if they are not making money of " bring ur own device" why offer it

I'm done with trying to fix something that shouldn't be an issue to start.

I had the same problem with my Oneplus 12.  I found that although my APN was there, it wasn’t correct.  I had to update the MMS port, address and a few other details based on the Koodo settings:

You have a screenshot of the APN set-up cos I did try the Koodo APN set-up as in link plus many other things and no luck .

I have a One Plus phone and I was having troubles with my MMS and what I did below worked for me.  Try it and I hope it works for you.  Nothing else worked for me.  And you also have to click download on the old messages.

The lines that I changed to get it back working were these ones:

MMS proxy: mmscproxy.mobility.ca

MMS port: 8799

APN protocol: IPV4/IPV6

This OnePlus user got theirs to work (it was an 8T though)

Glad to add them.  The MMS proxy and ports were the main ones I remember changing but I recommend.  Also updated the APN Type since it had one protocol more than there was on the site.

sorry it cut off the second pic:

@JasperOscarRocky the apn looks the same as what's on the Koodo page. What did you do differently that made it work?
