Mobile Data not working properly. I can send and receive messages on What's App and Facebook Messenger. Google Maps, the facebook App and webpages won't load.
I live in BC but am traveling in Nova Scotia. Since I landed in NS my mobile data isn’t working properly. I can send and receive messages on Messenger and What’s app but using my mobile data for anything else I get the an error message saying “No Internet Connection”. I’ve restarted the phone several times and confirmed I’m registered on the Koodo network. My phone is showing I’m connected to the network. There are no other errors showing aside from the pop-up error I get when trying to use data.
I have a 1+6 T phone. There was a recent upgrade but has caused the data to stop working. We have done various things to try to remedy, reboot, take out chip etc. We also put the SIM card in another phone and the data works on the other phone.I'm starting to think there might be some incompatibility with the update and network. Short of reverting to older OS and potentially losing stuff, I'm hoping someone can provide some constructive suggestions on how to get the data to work.
After switching to koodo my incoming calls were going straight to voicemail, I had a call back from a rep who set up a temporary number while I cancelled my number with the previous mobile provider. There is a 90 minute window that expired and I have no access to another phone number to try again. As it stands now my phone is showing the temporary number, My question if I cancel my nmber with my former mobile company can I still port my old cell number over to Koodo? Changing to a new number is not a good option I want to keep my old number
My doctor has been trying to contact me and the phone calls are straight missed. I figured that on her end it is a ‘blocked phone number’. I also double checked my cellphone (iphone) settings and the option ‘Silence Unknown Callers’ is Off. I definitely don’t know what do and it is a Health matter. I neve had this problem before, I’m new with koodo, if someone could help me I will really appreciate that.
Hi! I have been a Koodo customer for years with no issues... However, I just moved to Naramata, BC and I literally have NO network here even though we are fully within the coverage map. (Phone just says Emergency Calls Only). This is not ideal as my husband and my kids school can't get ahold of me when I'm at home!!! I have tried all sorts of troubleshooting but I know many others with the same issue in Naramata. I don't want to have to switch providers, someone suggested reaching out to Telus/Koodo to request a network booster in our area? Is this a possibility? Please let me know, otherwise I will unfortunately need a new provider ;(
I went through all the steps to transfer my phone number to my new phone and account switching to Koodo. However, I never received the SMS text confirming that it happened, and when I log in to my account it says there is was an error during the process, and to schedule a callback to fix it. My account reads that my new number is registered, but when I receive a phone call it goes to my old phone and SIM. I do not appear to be receiving any texts from anyone - I had my mother text me and I’ve not received it on either phone, but when she calls me it does ring on my old phone. So I scheduled my appointment and diligently waited by my phones and no one called me. I’ve scheduled another appointment for tomorrow morning, but I’m looking for another option to fix this issue since I’m not confident they will actually call. Their number is not blocked, they just never called me back. I just want to talk to an email rep or something, like an actual person, since the bot keeps trying to schedule
I have been with Koodo for about 6 years and from what I’ve experienced Koodo simply drops some text messages. You’ll be having a conversation just fine one day, but next day you message and it doesn’t go through. I truly have no idea how many get dropped as I hardly ever see the phones of the recipient/sender. There will be long periods of messages not getting sent/rec. Friendships and other relationships strained needlessly by F---ing Koodo. “I haven’t ignored you, you ignored me and I can proved it” … well guess what … so ca they. Lets compare our chat history on both our phones just so I can get more annoyed. My estimate is more than 5% of text messages get dropped, for a while. Hard to know for sure as once a message gets dropped the conversation generally stops, no more attempted messages when both sides are waiting. Then it’ll work for a couple of weeks just fine or so I think, can never know for sure. It leaves me with the impression that Koodo is a bottom of the barrel servic
Same problem as was posted on the older thread of this same name. No solution was given there. I can connect my calls with other people regardless of their provider or device, but neither of us can hear the other. Doesn't matter if my device calls out or they call me. This has been going on for three days now. Any solutions out there?
My iphone12 mini keeps disconnecting my wifi at home and when I try to reconnect it keeps telling me I have an incorrect password. Whereas the password is definitely correct. I keep having to reset my network settings to reconnect and that doesn’t always work either. I’ve gone over my data limit for the month because of this! And I had the same issue with an Iphone 10 that I traded in because of these issues and now the same thing is happening again! Any help / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hi there,Is it possible to receive Android SW updates OTA outside Canada, more specifically in Europe ? What I mean is to be able to update from Android 10 to 11 ? Or can I update it manually using the LG Bridge application ?I'm currently inside the EU and won't be coming to Canada for at least a few years. The phone I'm talking is a LG V60 ThinQ 5G, version LMV600TM2X and to be more specific it's LMV600TM2X.ACANCB. The thing is that this phone supports all the carrier frequencies needed inside the EU, where I'm currently working and traveling. Thanks !
Got a iPhone XR for Christmas. Bought it online from Koodo, it will not stay connected to my home wifi. Every other device/phone stays connected. I’ve tried everything. Soft reset, network reset, forgot the wifi and rejoined. Nothing works. It will connect if I am beside the wireless rotor. But if I go to a different room it loses connection.
I am currently visiting in the United States. I have gotten easy roam $11 charges twice while I was at home on Wifi. I have my data, mobile data, automatic updates & automatic app updates all turned off. I have not answered or made any phone calls or sent any texts. I should not be getting these charges.
Hi!I got a new phone (Samsung A52 5g) a month or so back, and since then, unlike my previous phones, the tether function, both USB and wireless, don’t really work properly. Other than discord, steam and my PC games failing to connect 100% of the time, I sometimes have to restart my phone to get it working at all for even basic browsing. Discord specifically gives me an RTC error (no route). But that’s really all I can understand from that. When I click the support link on the error, it mentions it happens due to firewalls, DNS settings and other stuff that’s way over my head, Here’s what I have tried with no luck: Making a new APN as per the Koodo APN settings info Restarting phone making a new SSID and password for tethering setting data to 2.4ghz instead of 5ghz. Turning off Firewalls on my PC when tetheredPlease help! :P
Due to late payment my service was suspended and reinstated almost immediately yesterday, however my data is still not reactivated. I keep getting a message saying “there is a data block on your account”. I have tried to no avail to correct the issue. What is the reason for this?
I’m currently on a plan with 12GB data and 4G/LTE, etc. I have tried resetting my phone, resetting my network settings, re-inserting my SIM card, and gone through Koodo Assist twice now. I have requested callbacks twice, and in the midst of the initial agents transferring me through to someone who can help me with my tech issue (to the tech department), I got hung up on both times. I have now wasted 3 hours of my life.I would like to know if anyone has had a similar network/data usage issue, as I am getting very frustrated. I have made sure all my settings for Data are on and I’ve tried resetting everything twice now. Nothing seems to work. Also, if there’s an email or a phone number I can call for customer service, it would be greatly appreciated if that can be provided.
Hi there! I am running a Sony Xperia XZ2 - while I am able to make and receive calls, and connect to mobile data (at speeds maxing out at only about 10Mbps), I am unable to send (and likely receive) MMS text messages. When attempting, I see the message “MMS is not available on this network.” I have tried all the APN settings, including those listed by Kodoo (which didn’t solve the problem) - https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/setting-data-your-non-koodo-phone and elsewhere - https://apn-canada.gishan.net/en/apn/koodohttps://www.4gapn.com/ca/en/koodohttps://techbiote.com/koodo-apn-settings/Is there an updated, definitive set of network settings that I should be using, or is it possible there’s another reason I can’t do MMS (and that my data speed isn’t great)? Thanks!
Since switching to Koodo I have received messages on my cell periodically saying my “Sim Card is full” and i cannot receive text messages. I also do not have my contacts on the SIM as I used google contacts on my phone.I checked and did not have any text messages on my SIM. I only send/receive about a dozen text message a week. When I power down/up my cell the SIM Card Full message goes away until it reappears again in 2-4 weeks. Any help how to fix this would be appreciated.
iPhone 12 mini, iOS 15.4 … I want to set it for NO Roaming, NONE, Zip, Zilch. To go with Network > Koodo (i.e. not AUTOMATIC) But on my phone I can’t find the setting. Google searches all give different methods, and none match what I see on my phone - there’s no Roaming setting. Is it only visible when certain other settings are on?
