Data plan issue

When I turned on my data today it was only working sporadically.  At first it was ok, then the next time I had the processing/loader bar keep circling. The next time it was fine again and then the time after that I was looking at a flyer page with text only and it was blank where the images should have been. It worked again but the last time I used it I got the processing circle again.

This all happened within a 2 hr time frame, making it impossible at times for me to see my grocery app and also price match at the cash register. It’s where I usually shop so location is not a factor.

Is this the place to report an issue?

We can try to troubleshoot your issue for sure. What phone do you have? What plan? And what location? Do others in your neighbourhood have the same issue?

I’ve had my Pixel Pro 6 since January and never had that issue. I shop in St. Catharines, Ontario. 

I have a 1 gig data plan but even when I only had a 100 mb plan I never got close to using it up. I don’t know of anyone else who is on Koodo in my neighbourhood or shops where I do.

I rely on grocery apps and price matching so it’s important that I don’t run into this issue again.

When this happened, can you try to reboot your phone?

If it was working before and now working sporadically, restart from time to time might helps.

Does your signal strength show as any lower now than before? Have you tried any troubleshooting?

I was so flustered holding up a line of people trying to get through the cashier that I didn’t even bother to check the signa strength nor did I have time to reboot the phone. 

I am immunocompromised and only shop / go out once very 2-4 weeks so I won’t have a chance to test this out probably til sometime in October.  I will do a hard reboot now and also check signal strength if it happens again. Not sure what would cause a low signal strength though as it never happened before in that area and we didn’t have bad weather at the time.
