Audio problems after call waiting on my home hub

During a phone call when someone else tries to call and call waiting is indicated the audio of the call starts to deteriorate with lots of static and lower volume. It does not go away and continues to get worse until the conversation is stopped. This is on a wireless home phone purchased from Koodo. The signal strength indicated on the WF723CA is 4 green bars so that does not appear to be an issue.

Have you tried removing the battery (if applicable) removing the sim card, and unplugging the home phone base for 30 or so seconds and then putting it all back together?
