Upgrading on billing day


If I were to upgrade my plan on my billing day, how does all of this work. I have the $64 plan and I want to get the $74 plan.

Hi there, As long as you change your price plan on the day your billing cycle begins, all you'll see on the next bill is an increase due to the price change. It would do the same thing if you called into customer service and had them post date your plan to start on the next billing cycle. If you changed it mid cycle then you'd be subject to proration charges (credits from the old plan and charges for the new one). Hope that helps 🙂

Also note that the beginning of your billing cycle, when you get your bill, and when your bill is due are 3 different dates. Also I would avoid using minutes on that day before you make the change in case of prorations charges for one day. But I'm just being a worried wart and dont want to risk any partial charges or overages

I completely forgot about that, thanks Dennis! That's perfectly fine to be a worry wart, nobody likes being charged extra for things when they don't need to be. 🙂 😛

There is no extra charge to change plans before your billing cycle. All changes of plans are pro-rated and will only charge you for the days you use either plan. Change away freely; you will only be charged for the services you use. Good luck.

I think he's wanting to avoid the pro-rated charges as much as possible; therefore, is looking for a date that he can upgrade that fits to his cycle.
