Koodo Tab and Cancellation

I have this situation. I sold my phone that I bought on tab from Koodo and decided to switch phone company but I still have a remaining tab of $100. Do I just call Koodo's Helpline and cancel it or will I have to pay off the tab? What would be the point of paying off the tab if I am going with another company?

When you cancel, your final bill will include your tab balance. The Tab is money loaned to you, interest free, to finance your phone. So the point of paying it back is paying for your phone which is your obligation under the service agreement you signed when you started service.
Yes, but I already sold the phone. So what would be the point of paying off the tab when I am going to cancel my line?

You sold a phone that did not belong to you. And since Koodo retains the lien on the phone, don't be surprised if Koodo disables the phone, at which time you get a visit from the police on behalf of the person you sold the phone.

Your absolute best option that works best for you, is to pay your final Kood bill by due date or call to make payment instalment and stick to them.

I guess  you shouldn't have sold your phone.   It's what you owe Koodo.  So if you don't pay what you owe it will go to debt collectors and will negatively affect your credit rating.

Well cpt07, I really hope you got at least a $100. for it so you can pay off your bill. The hounding you will take for a "collection agency" is not worth  $100. Guaranteed !!
Okay thanks
