do you need to do a credit check if i want to use a bigger tab than i currently have?

Depends on what your credit check when you acitvated with Koodo. If you weren't approved for the large tab, the only way to go about getting approved would be to have your bills payed for 9 consecutive months payed in full and on time. You internal credit within Koodo will be in good standing and you'd be eligible for more lines and the large tab. Keep in mind if 1 bill is late or not payed in time the 9 months would start over again.
No. The credit check is only done once during the activation of the account.

Thanks for this. I didn't realize Tab L was restricted in such a fashion.

Yes. It all boils down to what the credit rating of the consumer is during the activation. If they weren't approved then good payment history is required/necessary to be eligible for large tab plans.
