Can I keep my current plan if purchasing a new phone? Nexus 4 died on my current koodo tab.


My Nexus 4 has the red light of death and every possible fix that I found hasn't worked. It's 2 months out of warranty and LG wants to charge me $150 to repair what is a known issue. So, I think I have no choice but the purchase another phone. Can I keep my same koodo tab plan with the purchase of a new phone? I realize I have to pay off the current tab, but I don't want to have to pay more for another monthly plan.

Sorry Pamela. That sounds unfortunate 😞 However yes you can keeo your current plan. koodo never makes you charge you plan. All plans new and old qualify for the Tab S. If you want a Tab M then you need a current plan or any older plans that is $30 or more. Only Tab L requires special Tab L plans which we all strongly advise against as it has the worst value.
Thanks Dennis! My current plan is Tab M with 400 anytime minutes and 400 mb of data and all of the other basics like unlimited texting, Canada wide calling, vmail etc. So, I'd like to keep that plan along with the what I am paying for the plan which is $39/month. I'd like the Tab M again with the purchase of another phone....so if I understand you correctly, I can keep my current plan?

A few weeks ago I switched phones and I was told I had to change my plan? I was on a $50 tab M, I wasn't prepared to go to a heavy plan but the best I could get was the $45/500mb plan. I wanted to keep my $50/1gig.

This post implies I should be going back to koodo and complaining.
