Transfer number from one phone to another


Question I need to change a number from one phone to another, both phones are the same model Samsung sch-u450, is this possible and how. Thanks Jeff

You can do this in Self Serve by going to the Mobile Phone tab and then upgrade/swap phone. When it asks if your new phone uses a SIM card, say no, and follow the instructions. You'll also need to NAM program the "new" u450 (basically changing the phone # registered on the device) to yours. I don't think Johnathan's answer is still applicable as the classic self-serve site no longer offers the upgrade/swap option... looks like you have to call in to the service number now.

The thread is 4 years old and it's not applicable. Phones use a sim card now. If your old sim fits in your new phone all that is needed is to put the sim in the new phone. Self serve does give you the option to swap sims if it's needed and can be done without calling in in most cases.
