Self-Serve Payment Form Broken

I guess Koodo doesn’t want my money?

I’m using a valid Mastercard Debit card with money in the account. It’s my first payment. The payment form consistently fails. This is very embarrassing for Koodo.

I recommend paying over the phone. Call 611.from yør koodo phone and you can pay using the automated system

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I have already tried that, that system said that the card isn’t accepted. 

Accepting payments is kind of a core function of a legitimate business…

They do not accept Mastercard debit. Only Credit card or Visa debit.

Why wouldn’t they accept my form of payment? A form that hundreds of thousands of people use?

This is baffling and very frustrating.

I’m gonna guess either cause of an agreement with visa or that demand doesn’t outweigh the cost to implement it.

I mean out of the 5 largest banks in Canada, Visa debit is used by Scotiabank, TD, RBC, CIBC and can be used across more than 44,000 merchants. Mastercard debit is only used by BMO and only has about 120 merchants on board.
