I am trying to port my old number to Koodo from Virgin, but when I put in my Virgin Acct number from my old bill, it says that it's an invalid format for bell. If I just put in my old phone's serial number, says invalid format. If I put in my old PIN, it says invalid format... and it won't let me put in nothing. Also, I didn't realize the service needed to be active to port (I canceled Virgin, then activated with Koodo)...this was just done today. The number checker says it's still available. How necessary is this? or does it just ensure the number isn't already assigned to another person?
