No Signal Available

I purchased a new sim card and I haven't received any signal since yesterday after I bought it. I have registered online following the link that was mailed to my inbox. Please help.

What area are you in? Is the coverage good there? Is 3g enabled on your phone? Is airplane mode on? Also have you tried rebooting or doing a battery pull out? Sorry for all these questions but these are usually the most common reasons why people don't get signal.
