When I get a new phone and SIM from Koodo - my understanding is that they give you a temp phone number . I's this correct? I read somewhere that you had to use your old Sim

Are you a new or existing customer?
If you are a new customer, the SIM is activated with a temporary number and you could change it later.
If you are an existing customer, the new SIM is an inactive SIM, you can use the old SIM or switch to the new one following this https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/koodo-sim-support
