Just bought a phone just swap sims?

I am a long time monthly customer, and just bought online for the first time.  Do I just take the sim card from my existing phone, and put it in the "new" phone to be ready to  use?  Will it “know”  and be connected to my phone number?   Pretty elemental question, I realize but these are covid days, and for once I am not the only one who doesn’t get out much.

Yes.  If your current SIM card is same size with your new phone, then you just need to swap it.

And you can keep your new phone as back up.
