@Magnus : They are 2 different systems, I don't think you could start paying when it is transfered from Telus.

They normally activated the SIM shortly after it shipped, so you don't have to wait for a long shipping (1,2 days). The porting from Telus is also quick (30minutes - few hours). Overall, if you would like to do online, it takes 1,2 days.

As there are a delay in order processing as of now, you might have to wait for the order to be processed (7-10 business days).

If you do it in store ($30 connection fee might apply), the transfer could be immediate.

hi Magnus,
Are you a current Koodo customer?
For both new and existing you could try to get a plan from here https://www.koodomobile.com/rate-plans
After you have your SIM, you could port your number following this link https://www.koodomobile.com/help/moving-your-number-koodo
Thanks for the links, but this seems to create an overlap. I would start paying for the Koodo plan while the SIM card is being shipped and while I am still paying for the Telus plan until it has been transferred. Could I not order the Koodo plan and only start paying when it is activated with the number transfer from Telus?

Hi Magnus!
It would not be possible to make a payment before the account is created and activated..
You can order a new sim card (if you do not need a new phone) from here: https://koo.do/2INl8In .
You will find more information about ordering online here: http://koo.do/2rtOXUQ
