How to find data usage...

Userlevel 3
How does a secondary user find out their data usage without my login info? I would rather not give her my login info as then she could make chsnges to her account. Can she make an account for her line and have it only limited to viewing usage? This was much easier when the app was around...

The app would not have avoided that problem either, she would still have needed your login information to view usage on the app. The easiest way to check usage would be to call 611. Option 2 will give you your current airtime and data usage.

With the old app she could see her usage, but not get into my account to make changes. Now she needs to get into my account where changes can be made, to go and check her usage.

Also, seeing data usage would be easier than hearing it. I tried texting 611 the number 2 but nothing happened.

It's not texting but you need to call!

Hi JohnC - the secondary user can request access to your account by creating their own self-serve profile at this link. (This is assuming you have an active profile yourself, as a prerequisite.) They'll need the account number to complete the request, and once it's submitted you'll receive an email notification asking you to approve the user to gain access to the account.
Let us know if that's what you're looking for, and if these instructions help.

Sorry, I should have elaborated and addressed some of your other points as well:

Self Serve App vs Web Experience - As Timo pointed out, the app would have allowed the user the same level of access.

By following the steps I provided above, the user will have the same level of access, even with their own profile. So if the worry is allowing them this freedom, unfortunately there's no way around this.. but it's not different from your app experience in the past either.
