Hello,
I saw a promo bring your own phone plan 39/month with 20gb and premium vicemail. However, I am not able to change this plan in my account. I do not have tab. Is there anyway to change to this plan?

View originalI have the same question. Looks like that plan is only available for new activations.
Maybe we can cancel current plan and then activate this new plan then and optionally move old number over? I don’t see why we need to go through all those steps.
In the past, that promotion is only for new customers. You could try to contact Koodo directly and ask them. Hopefully they can help
I suggest waiting until black friday. If you are unable to change to the plan you want, then you are left with no choice but to switch providers to one that offers you the plan that you want
I have the exact same question. I currently have an old plan (2gb per month for $45.00). I have no Tab balance
I am replacing my old phone with a phone I purchased outright, so I want to switch to a Bring My Own Phone plan. I see the bring my own phone plans on the self serve site but I don’t see anyway of switching my plan to one.
Looks like I will have to visit an actual store
I did went to Koodo store and chat with the prep, the only thing they can do is you have new phone number and which is not an option. I will wait to see anything coming up on Black Friday. Currently , Koodo just provides $50 for 60gb compare to my current $45 with 6gb. But I don’t use that much data. The bring my own phone plan make more sense to me. May be switch to other provider for bring your own phone plan is the only option. They have same 20gb offer currently for $38 to $39. However, you may need to buy a new SIM card for that provider and paid activation fee.
It shouldn't be this hard. I just want to change my plan to a bring my own phone and keep my current number. If Koodo won't do this I'll just go to a different provider and transfer my number to them.
Koodo is making this way too difficult.

Unfortunately it's not just Koodo. Around this time, many people are jumping ship to get the best deal.
I agree it should not be this hard. But as Dinh said, you can try to contact Koodo - set up a call back to discuss. If you can't get any deal you like, then changing providers is another option.
Well I get my new phone delivered on Tuesday so I’ll pay a visit to my Koodo store and see what they offer. But if not I can switch to Freedom or Fido.
Just thought I’d summarize what happened when I visited the Koodo store. Basically I was told to go to another provider.
I could not change my plan to a Bring my Own Phone with Koodo. If I wanted to remain a Koodo customer, I had to purchase a new phone with Koodo. (I already had an almost new Samsung Galaxy S21 so why would I do that?) So a warning to all that you cannot change to a bring your own phone plan if you’re already a Koodo customer.
The only solution they offered was signing me up for a Telus account at $65.00 per month and having to get a new number. (I was currently on an old Koodo plan of 2gb data for $45.00)
So I am now a new Fido customer, kept my same number and have 20gb data for $34.00 per month.
Koodo must not care about losing customers because they sure weren’t very helpful.
