I am going to get new pIIxel 7 for my wife and I but want Android 14 so we can avoid overheating and battery draining issues with 13

Android 14 for newer Pixel devices (including the 7) has been out for about a week and a half. Get the device, power it on, and you should very shortly get a prompt to upgrade to Android 14. (If not, go to Settings, System, System Update, and tap Check for updates.
