My s10+ bricked so I need to upgrade. When I try to check out a new phone on tab basic which only requires plan to be $33/month it says my $55/month plan from black Friday is not compatible.

If you had the BF of $55 plus monthly credit, those deals were BYOD plans. I don't think you can upgrade phone on it.
Dang so im going to have to downgrade my plan and pay more to ever upgrade a phone. What a terrible deal, I wish I knew that, I wouldn't have changed my plan 😭

There was another option to have the phone at BF though. If you got that plan ($65 plus credit), you would have been able to upgrade or get a phone at that time.
