Unable to finish activating sim card


Hello everyone. My friend just bought a new sim card from koodo yesterday but then the sim card turned out to be the wrong size so we went back to the store earlier and had it cut smalller then tried activating it today. He already had a phone with him(that he bought from the Philippines before coming here to Canada) so he put the sim card in that phone. It is a samsung j1 model. Anyway, he tried many attempts in activating the sim card, but could not finish because when he gets to the 2nd step which is choosing a number, it just stops there and would not continue no matter how many times he clicks it. A "select your local calling area" pops out, but when he clicks it, nothing happens. He even tried to activate using other gadgets but it won't work. Please help! What do we do??

Yikes Luisa, a select number of people seem to have this issue. First I would try clearing your cookies or even try another browser, but if that doesn't work, hour best bet is to contact Koodo to activate the account. Fastest would be to use Facebook private message. Either way you'll end up connected, don't worry 🙂

Another useful tool is to use the private (or incognito) tabs when doing these things as doing so typically ignores cached data.
