SIM card number is not available to be activated

bought a prepaid SIM card at the Koodo store and tried to self-register via Koodo website. However, it gives an error message “SIM card number is not available to be activated”. Any ideas?

When you bought the SIM, was there any “prepaid” text on it?. I am just wondering if you bought the correct prepaid sim? 

Also, was the SIM number entered correctly?
