Recovering the last sim after 8 months being inactive


Dear Koodo staff, I bought a Kodoo sim card in august 2013 in Toronto, and as I wasn't living in canada I couldn't charge it. Now (after 8months not using the sim) I am going to vancouver I think that the sim is deactivated, I would like to know if there is any way I could have the same number and recharge the number again. Thanks for your supports

Unfortunately you will need to purchase a new sim card. Once a sim card has been unused for 3 months, you need a new one. Only $10 from your nearest Koodo kiosk/store or retail partner like Futureshop or Best Buy EDIT: If you NEVER activated the sim card, it can still be used!

Even if you need to buy a new SIM card, you will still have the same number. Juste ask the person from the Koodo store to put that SIM card on your self-serve account or you can do it by yourself by acessing self-serve on your browser and change the SIM card number!

Umm I don't think so Robert. The OP said "couldn't charge it" for 8 months, which I'm assuming means she was on prepaid and hasn't topped it up for this amount of time. At that point the accounts' completely gone and she would have to start over. For postpaid it's even worse because that means if she didn't pay the bill and it went to collections than we have another issue on our hands.

Just get a new prepaid sim. It cots $20 and comes with a $20 activation credit. Unfortunately you number will have been lost
