Received text regarding Credit Card expiry end of this month, but card does not expire until end of the next month


Koodo has sent a text saying the credit card expires at the end of this month (July), however that is incorrect - the card does not expire until August 31st. It's not possible to replace the card with a new one on self-serve, because we won't get that replacement card from Visa in the mail until some time in August. Account top-up date is August 14th - if Koodo mistakenly believes our card has expired at the end of July, how shall we deal with this?

You will just have to update the card details. By the sounds of it the wrong month was entered when you first registered it with Koodo.

Thank you ... So, we just go in to self serve and replace the card with the same card (making sure the expiry month is 08)?

Okay, so, this is not a good thing. I printed copies of each screen during my account sign-up / activation, and have now checked them; they show that I did in fact enter the correct month (August) for the credit card expiry date. Strangeness. Nothing you folks can do about it, I know, and I appreciatethe help you've given.     I will try replacing the card with the same one (even though all the information is actually identical), and hope that makes a difference.

You can pay with online banking alternatively or make a onetime payment with the card if it won't work.

Thanks. If we have enough of a positive balance on Aug 14th (when the plan renews) in the account to cover the plan cost, then if the card does not work for the top-up, will the account renewal still go through okay (pulling the funds from our balance)?

Do you think it's possible they sent the text the wrong month? Because we are quite near the beginning go August. That  might be the problem as well.
