Prepaid Service Dropped


Prepaid (text and voice). I am paid up. My SIM card is firmly in its slot. Yet my service has been out for about 24 hours ... I can only make Emergency calls. How can that be?

Hi Cecil, does your phone mention "Koodo" or does it say "Emergency calls only"? When you check self service, does it show that your plan is active? And lastly what base plan are you on, and how much is left on your talk booster? 🙂
It says "Emergency calls only". Yes, plan is active. I have prepaid texting ... just topped up ... money "in the bank". I also have talk booster ... hundreds of minutes remaining. Stupid thing 🙂 Thanks.

Did you use the phone before? What phone is it?
It is a Samsung Galaxy S 2. Have used it for about two years. Had a full data/voice plan until about 3 months ago. Then went to Koodo prepaid. Wondering if it is a hardware problem ... but the camera works ... wi-fi too. Just gotta be a problem with Koodo.

Make sure airplane mode isn't on (try toggling it off/on too) and you have 3G enabled in the settings.
Checked ... airplane mode off, 3G enabled. Going on Forums now. Seems like this problem is not that unusual. Murky turf though.
