Prepaid - Do I Pay Full Amount or Top Up?

If I understand correctly, on prepaid plans the unused portion of talk is rolled over as long as I renew the plan before it expires. Do I do that by paying the full amount again or by topping up what's left so there's enough to cover the next month?

Also, does any data add on balance also roll over?

Hi Norm,

Only add-ons are rolled over until used. Not the base plans themselves. If you buy data or talk add-ons, those are rolled over as long as you keep your phone active and don't let it be inactive for more than 90 days.

To renew automatically, you will need to turn on automatic top-ops and register a credit card to pay it automatically. You will be able to tell it how much you want to add every month so make sure that amount is good enough to cover the cost of renewing your baseplan.

Auto top-up also yields you a bonus credit every time you do it. Takes the worry out keeping current.

Thanks, Bob.
Thanks, Mathieu. So, just to make sure I'm understanding correctly, if I'm on the Hero 45 plan and at the end of the 30 day term there's still $10 unused I only have to add $35 to renew. And then I'll have $45 to work with the next month.

Yes, you'll need to add whatever amount is needed to cover the price of your baseplan.
