Prepaid cannot make any call, but overview shows my number is active now.


I just have a new prepaid number, and the overview shows that my number is active, but I cannot make any call and also messages. I dont know why and how can I use it properly. Thank you.

Oh, it also cannot send or received any messages, and also cannot call *611. My base plan is $15, it do have unlimited text messages. So what should I do? Reboot phone doesn't work.

Call 1-866-995-6636 from a landline and get it sorted out. Doesn't make sense to me that there's a plan with NO calls, but you have it. Also noted in your other post that you changed the number. Something has to be unlocked on Koodo's side for sure.

Yep, the phone number has been changed successfully. Now I'm waiting for about 9 hours but it still can't make call with *611 and send/receive any message.

Is this a new phone for you too? Check the imei make sure that the phone isn't on the lost / stolen list. Does the phone say anything like "unregistered on network" or "no service"?
The phone was checked by Koodo stuff and it's unlocked and works perfectly with his SIM card. I think there maybe something has blocked.

No, it shows Koodo as normal, without any other information.

Is this a new number or did you port your number over fron say a landline? What phone do you have? Can you shut it off, remove the sim card, wait a few seconds, reinstall the sim and restart the device?

This is a new number which bought yesterday. It's an iPhone. I did this more than one time but doesn't work. I just plug this SIM card to another phone which is work properly with Fido prepaid number, the same thing happened. When I dial *611, the call will be hang up automatically.

Find another working phone and call koodo. Ask to speak to tech support. Let them know that you've already tried some troubleshooting and you think the problem is with koodo. Refer them to this post if need be.
