Offer 2GB of Data on Prepaid

Userlevel 1
A number of other providers offer 2GB of data for $50 in addition to 1GB of data for $30 on prepaid. Koodo should offer the same or a better deal

Love this idea. With my other provider I get 4g for 50 but that's with pm. I would love to see at least a 2g offer here as 1g just isn't enough.

And PM is owned by the same company as Koodo 😉

Stupid question: What/who is "PM"?

PM is Public Mobile which was purchased by the Telus Corp a little while back. They are a straight up service only carrier, they don't offer any phones or anything just service only.

Ah, yeah, I've heard of them. Don't think they offer service here in NS.

I'm from NS and I'm on their waiting list. They offer service here if you can get an invite.

Interesting. Thanks for giving me something to look into. I'm perfectly happy with Koodo, but options are always nice 🙂.

[b]EDIT: Nevermind, it looks like they don't offer the thing that makes me love Koodo: rollover for boosters. I'm a light user, I pay the $15 unlimited text plan, then a $25 voice and $30 data add-on lasts me 2-3 months. What's the point of paying for a bunch of minutes/data that just get left unused every month?!

Awesome idea. Even better: Buy 1GB for $30, 2GB for $50, and after that additional 1GB's for $10. Just buy 10GB up front for $130 and be good for months (or years in my case LOL).

Koodo has offered discount data boosters a couple times and many loaded up on them so I'm sure they'll be around again sooner or later.

Yeah it has. I think the last time was over a year and a half ago when Koodo last offered a sale on boosters for prepaid.

What kind of discounts are we talkin' here?

I'd like this as a prepaid customer. I'd rather buy a bulk amount for a cheaper rate than if I were to buy two 1 GBs separately.
Yes! This is a great idea... it'd be great if Koodo offered higher data boosters for prepaid, something like:

2GB: $50
5GB: $100
