If I paid off my phone/contract then can I switch to a pay as you go plan? And how would I do so?

If I paid off my phone/contract then can I switch to a pay as you go plan? And how would I do so? Extra details: So I was recently on a plan paying 45$ a month for my phone, I didn't see a need for most features that I had so I decided to cancel my plan early by paying it off. I did so and now I am wondering if I can use that same phone and sim to get a prepaid card? And how would I activate the phone using the prepaid card? Thanks for the help!

Hi Cameron, Most certainly you can! The easiest way is to buy a prepaid SIM card ($20 if you buy it from Koodo, and it comes with $20 credit). DO NOT cancel your postpaid plan, but when you activate your prepaid account, port over your postpaid #. Your postpaid plan will be cancelled immediately. No need to do anything else, except pay one final postpaid invoice when it comes in 🙂

Hey Josh,

Could you please clarify your question? Do you want to use a new phone (bought on ebay) with your Koodo prepaid account?

Thanks
