I have already activated my account just now, but I tried to text my daughter and my text cannot be sent

Hi Ana, You might have to restart your phone for it to be fully active. Also, please remember that this is a public community that anyone can access. I removed your phone number to protect it for you 🙂

Is your carrier selection set to automatic? Can you check if you are manually able to select Koodo from the carrier list?
The text can not be sent because of one of two reasons.
First reason, you don't have reception
Second reason, you didn't install the sim-card properly

Actually there are many other reasons like the one that Ivan said above. Those are two good ones to check though.
