How do you replace one prepaid phone with a newer model?

Hello, I just bought a new prepaid koodo phone to replace my current older prepaid phone, but when i login to the prepaid site, there's no place to register another phone. So, i tried following the first time registration procedures and it won't go past step 4 because it recognizes my info as already having an account. I'm stumped. Very frustrating! Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hey Gregory, I'm not an expert on these things but it should be as simple as taking the SIM card out of your old phone and putting it in the new one. I've done that when upgrading before. There's no need to "register" the new phone or anything, the SIM card is what links it to your account.

The only problem you might have is if the SIM cards are different sizes, in that case you'll probably have to call Koodo and jump through some hoops. Good luck!

I'm assuming a new SIM card came with your new phone. If that's the case, you can change SIM cards by navigating to your prepaid Self Serve account and selecting the Baseplan & Boosters tab, then select Change SIM card. Enter the numbers that appear on your new SIM card into the box provided and click Submit and you should be all set. Keep us posted if you run into any problems.
