Can't pay with foreign credit card?


Any alternative payment options to credit card payment? I am using a foreign credit card and the system doesn't approve it because the billing address doesn't match the credit cart address.

Your International Credit cards need to be registered on the system before you use it. Call Koodo *611 from your Koodo phone, they will help you to register it for you. Another way to pay your bill : http://help.koodomobile.com/my-bill/billing-and-payment-options/how-can-i-pay-my-bill
Sorry this is not correct. There is NO such option available via *611. Koodo have a business model which puzzles me. They have lost money on my phone, in the sense that if they had been willing to accept one of my two international VISA cards or my AMEX card, I would have spent more on service. As it is, visiting a store to buy a topup is not quite what you expect to have to do in the modern world of internet and cellphones. I am living in Canada mostly now tho remain a British citizen and have permanent residency in the UK. I finally managed to get a Canadian AMEX card and I just registered that today online. The real kicker of course is that having read the very clear statement about only cards with Canadian billing addresses being allowed, when I got down to the bottom box on the address page where it asks me to select my country---what did I find? A pretty standard long pick list of most countries in the world. Koodo, get this sorted! You lose money! If international credit cards are good enough for Amazon, well maybe you need to review your risk/benefit analysis. Declan Fox PEI.

Did you speak to customer service? What do you mean by " No such option available via *611."? You can choose option 5 for customer service or keep pressing 0 to speak to a rep.

Declan has a point. Koodo needs to relook at their risk/benefit analysis.
Speak to a rep is 6. And they charge $5 to talk to me. 5 is for add/remove automatic topup and there is no sub option there to speak to a person. I think this process needs to be made much more simple. There are lots of foreigners in Canada now. I would have preferred to get a contract phone but when I tried that, I did not have Canadian government issued photo ID so not possible.

Ignore the $5 charge recording. You are prepaid. They cant charge you anything. We already talked to Koodo about why they say it costs $5. However you are right about Koodo not accepting international cards for prepaid.
