Wife's phone will not send sms messages

My wife just signed up with Koodo and she cannot send any sms messages. We used my SIM in the phone and sms worked fine, so there is nothing wrong with the phone. Is this an issue with how they set up her account or with the sim card?

It sounds like an incomplete port. Have you followed their instructions when doing the number transfer? https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/moving-your-number-koodo Did you receive a cancellation note from your previous carrier? 

Turns out her account was not set up properly. Once I figured out how to reach a live person, they fixed it in a few seconds.
